Sketch Plane in Drafting View

Sketch Plane in Drafting View

Sketch Plane in Drafting View

(OP)
I've imported a Sketch from another Drawing into a new Drawing View.
However when I add new curves they get added onto a different plane(?), so I can't Trim/Extend existing lines to the new ones.

Experimenting with a new part, it appears that Drafting View Sketches are created on the Back Clipping Plane(?).
My imported Sketch isn't?

I've also tried adding Basic Curves in Expand with the WCS set to the Plane of the existing Sketch Curves and
then adding them to the Sketch but it still doesn't recognise that they are on the same plane and won't Trim/Extend.

Anybody have any ideas on how to add new curves to the existing Sketch Plane?

Thanks
