Converting pounds of R-22 to R-134a for recovery tank capacity
Converting pounds of R-22 to R-134a for recovery tank capacity
(OP)
Hello all,
I have a refrigerant recovery tank with an old manual that gives the maximum amount of pounds of R-500 and R-22 the tank can hold at one time. We are currently using R-134a and I need to find out the maximum allowable pounds of R-134a I can recover in the storage tank. Anyone know of a formula?

R-134a operates at a higher pressure than R-22
Is your existing vessel capable of handling the new operating pressure?
Who will sign and seal the documents for that conversion? you?
With different pressure, I'd throw the old, get a new one, the liability is not worth the dime saved.
