Trial Wedge Method - Surcharge on Heel

Trial Wedge Method - Surcharge on Heel

Trial Wedge Method - Surcharge on Heel

(OP)
Hi All,

Per Arema code, I am using the trial wedge method to design a retaining wall with surcharge. Every example I can across has the wedges begin at the end of the heel. Does anyone know what to do with a surcharge load that is located on the heel?

I assume the weight of the surcharge load is added to every wedge.

Let me know what you think and thank you in advance for the replies.
