Part family item description updating in NX-TCE

Part family item description updating in NX-TCE

(OP)
I created part families for a Bolt in NX-6 integrated with Teamcenter, now I would like to add description for each family member like .190-32unf-3A_.625GRIP_1.032L based on the thread type and bolt length.
I added DB_PART_DESC from Attributes (Pull-down) and entered the description for each part in spread sheet. Updated each family members and status shows successfully updated. However when I check Item description in Teamcenter for each family members I does not updated.
Suggest me on this issue.

RE: Part family item description updating in NX-TCE

I do not believe that you can change any attributes that start with DB_ once the items have been created via the spread sheet. I once had to do something like that and ended up deleting the items in TC and then recreating them via the spread sheet. I know that at-least now in UG9 you can change the order of the columns in the spread sheet.

Someone else may have other suggestions but this was my experience.
