Hide parent surfaces in sketch

Hide parent surfaces in sketch

(OP)

Have a sketch.

Did an intersection through a surface in the sketch.

Exited the sketch.

Now every time I enter the sketch it shows the parent surface of that intersection.

How do you permanently hide the parent surfaces of intersections.

RE: Hide parent surfaces in sketch

What version of NX are you running?

RE: Hide parent surfaces in sketch

Sounds like you're doing an 'Edit W/Rollback' when you're editing your sketch. Have you tried to just do a simple 'Edit'?

Nope, just figured you could double click on it and all would be good, had no idea that was the same as edit with rollback.

Right click "edit" solves the problem.

Thanks. Appreciate the prompt reply to my inquiry

RE: Hide parent surfaces in sketch

You can change the edit action on double click in the customer defaults; i.e. if you prefer "edit" when you double click vs "edit with rollback" you can change that here (Modeling -> General -> Miscellaneous).

RE: Hide parent surfaces in sketch

BTW, you can go to...

Preferences -> Modeling -> Edit

...and define the behavior of Double-Click editing of Sketches and/or Features. And in the case of Sketches, you can also control what happens when you use the simple 'Edit' option, that is whether you go into the Sketch 'Task Environment' or whether it uses the newer so-called 'Direct Sketch' approach.
