Question of the day: (NX 7.5.0.3 and Tc 9.1.2.3) Can you have a palette set up to drag/drop 'items' onto the face of a drawing similar to the old school way of 'file, import' ??? I've played w/a couple of palette files, but I'm not to familiar with them and am not having much luck. I currently have a bunch of drawings to update/fix, which requires importing separate part files tabbed notes, border updates, etc. onto the face of each drawing. Thanks in advance...

Have you looked into using Custom Symbols. You can assign attributes to these if you want also.

Sdeters,
TPTB have nixed the idea of implementing the reuse library in Tc, and most all of the "stuff" they want on the face of the drawings is editable, only some via attributes. The vast majority of the part files are done by outside 'vendors' and are brought in/out of Tc regularly (I know, but that's an animal of a different color). I'm just trying to reduce the time/button clicks needed to get the job done.... and was thinking a palette of these items would make my life easier.

The good news is that "this" company will soon be merged/rebranded with another... so there are discussions about setting up the NX/Tc environment better for when that happens, but until then work must still be done.
