Structural Design for Power Industry

Structural Design for Power Industry

Structural Design for Power Industry

(OP)
My background is in building design, but my new role is designing components for power plants at high temperatures. I am looking for some guidance on the design of steel at high temperatures. Design codes, textbooks, or technical seminars would all be helpful.

RE: Structural Design for Power Industry

There is a great text on this from a US agency dealing with nuclear power plants... I'll try to lay my hand on a copy.

I have the same thing for concrete, but from the French. Are you fluent in French (as well as comfortable with the units and technical terms)? Just don't want to be digging if this won't be of real use...

Oh, and remember: Nuclear plants are high temperature because of the steam tubine systems as well, so these are very broad texts.
