export nastran/patran files ?
(OP)
is there a way to export nastran/patran files ?
i tried the neutral file, but appraantly this doesn't read properly.
looked for .bdf, the closest i could see was echo the input file (into the f06).

File > Export > Analysis Model
This will geenrate blk, dat, bdf files, which are ANSI bulk files.
In "Other Interfaces" there also is a "Patran" option. I'm not a PATRAN user, I'll leave it to you to test if that works

i can get some PATRAN options ... but doesn't translate RBE spider elements.
i'm using 11.0.0.

This is from the Femap documentation:
8.8 Patran Interfaces
There are three direct interfaces between FEMAP and MSC.Patran. You can write a FEMAP model to the MSC.Patran format for analysis, read an existing MSC.Patran model, or read analysis results for post-processing. The model interfaces use the MSC.Patran neutral file format. As you can see from the table in "Analysis Software Interfaces", they only support the finite element entities in FEMAP. You cannot transfer geometry (points, curves, surfaces, or volumes) between FEMAP and MSC.Patran using these interfaces.
