Alpha-numerically ordering items in Tabular Notes?

Alpha-numerically ordering items in Tabular Notes?

Alpha-numerically ordering items in Tabular Notes?

(OP)
Hi All,

Currently using NX 7.5 working with Tabular Notes in Drafting.
I am looking for different suggestions how to order items in a Tabular Note based on any selected column.
I have found that exporting out to the contents to a spreadsheet, then using Data>Sort A to Z works, so it appears.
Though in the initial tests I found that (oddly) not all were sorted correctly upon saying OK to update the Tabular Note back in NX.... curious.
For all intents and purposes the data in the first column of a 30 row table (appeared) to be alpha numeric standards. Typically xxx nnnn or xxxx nnnn or similar combinations thereof.

So if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate hearing more.
Especially if there is a Journal solution though I appreciate that this is maybe overkill.

In the meantime I will investigate and experiment some more to see why my initial attempts were not 100% perfect.
After all it appears to be a straightforward procedure.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Tetragrammaton :)

RE: Alpha-numerically ordering items in Tabular Notes?

Why can't you use the sort function for the tabular note by using the RMB in the top left corner of the note (see image).
