Different Simp Rep other Than Master as Default

Different Simp Rep other Than Master as Default

Different Simp Rep other Than Master as Default

(OP)
Hi,

Pretty new to Creo, so may be an easy one.

Ive created a few Reps of an assembly, but would like to use one of them as default (ie when someone else pulls the assembly to their workspace via PDMLink), the assembly loads using the newly created default simp rep rather than the master rep it seems to automatically defaults to.

RE: Different Simp Rep other Than Master as Default

Check your config.pro settings for how Creo loads a SimpRep. When I load an part with a user created SimpRep, it asks which rep I want to open. I don't think it is a Windchill setting as it is Pro/E specific. Which parts to load of an assembly, as-saved or load latest, is Windchill controlled.

RE: Different Simp Rep other Than Master as Default

I recall there is a way to copy the status of one rep to another. Possibly it is just as easy as selecting a simplified rep and RMB to get set as default. By default the Default rep is identical to the Master Rep, which is why users usually think they are the same.
