Protection of heat exchanger in a blocked in case
Protection of heat exchanger in a blocked in case
(OP)
What other information do I require in order to determine how much pressure a heat exchanger will see from a centrifugal pump if the HX is blocked in on the outlet? I currently know the heat exchanger MAWP, the specific gravity of the fluid, and I have the pump curve and data sheet which give the pump TDH. The pump is fed from an overhead accumulator on a distillation column.
I realize this is basic engineering, but I have not done engineering calculations in 15 years and do not currently have access to my texts. Thank you for the help.
