I have some beam elements (rod) and a surface meshed with 2D elements. I have created mesh points on the surface where the 1D elemens nodes are. How can I connect the beam with the surface without using node to node 1d connection since it requires a section?

RE: 1D 2D mesh connection

Dear Andreaschar,
If you have the mesh coincident, then simply merge the mesh: coincident nodes will be merged and you will have displacements continuity in the model.
Best regards,
Blas.
