Force vs displacement curve tensile test

Force vs displacement curve tensile test

Force vs displacement curve tensile test

(OP)
Hello

Probably this is a stupid question, however, I can not find any information related in the web. I am modeling a tensile test by means of axysimmetrical elements and I need to obtain the Force vs displacement curve. I model only half of the specimen (there is symmetry on the x axis and rotational symmetry-axisymmetry in the y axis) and I need to obtain the Force vs displacement curve. I know that I can plot the displacement by considering the U2 component of any of the nodes of the upper edge of the specimen, but, what about the force?

Many thanks in advance

Hello IceBreakerSours

I know that this is probably, as you say, very straightforward stuff and I am not a newbie to Abaqus. I've checked the manuals but I do not see any example or benchmark problem where the force vs displacement curve is obtained for an axysimmetrical test. Could you be so kind as to point me where I can find information related? I've searched online and in the documentation without any luck.

Many thanks for your advice, is really appreciate it.
