API 650 TANK FOR HIGH OPERATING TEMPERATURE SERVICE

API 650 TANK FOR HIGH OPERATING TEMPERATURE SERVICE

(OP)
I am involved in design of a BITUMEN storage tank complex.
In API 650, we have only some strength consideration related to hot operating temperature.
Where can find more details for hot service storage tanks, because for example stress due to expanding and contracting of the tank (during operation and overhaul) makes a lot of problems which needs to be considered, even for foundation.
I will be very appreciated if you can introduce some standards for hot storage tanks.
Regards,

API-650 Appendix M for the tank, and the services of a good pipe designer, experienced in keeping vedssel nozzle loads low on piping manifolds that run hot. I.E. most refinery piping designers.

Hi geliberman,
You need to be more specific about high temperature service as Annex M provides upto 260 deg C.Let's know your design temperature.
