SWMHYMO SCS Storms

SWMHYMO SCS Storms

(OP)
I am using a program called "storms" created by the manufacturers of SWMHYMO. I have made a 24 hour Type 2 distribution SCS storm file. I know need to transform this information into a 6 hour .stm file and a 12 hour .stm file so I can complete my modelling.

Any input into this would be appreciated. Thanks.

RE: SWMHYMO SCS Storms

The SCS type distributions are only for 24-hour durations. They should not be applied to anything different. The NRCS TR-60 has a 6-hour distribution, but my first choice would be a frequency distribution developed from NOAA Atlas 14 rainfall depths. HMR-52 has a method for developing a frequency distribution.
