Modelling a rope/chain connection

Modelling a rope/chain connection

Modelling a rope/chain connection

(OP)
Hi all,

The problem I am looking to solve is what type of elements to used to simulate a rope connection between two concrete blocks. An example of what I am modelling is below.

I have done some searching but to no avail. I am not worried about any data from the rope; I just want to simulate the interaction.

Hopefully someone can help with this as it seems like it would be an easy thing to do.

RE: Modelling a rope/chain connection

Model the rope as truss elements without compressive strength, there's a checkbox in either the material or section widget.
