STAAD PRO UNITY CHECK

STAAD PRO UNITY CHECK

STAAD PRO UNITY CHECK

(OP)
Hello,

I am new to Staad. I have just finished building a steel platform. I am trying to check the unity ratio but when I go to the unity check in post processing under beams I just see N/A. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,
Ted

RE: STAAD PRO UNITY CHECK

There are a lot of parameters you have to put in before you can use the unity check option. Go to Bentley's web site and download the STAAD V8i Technical Reference Manual. Section 2.14 will lead you through all the parameters you will need to enter.

RE: STAAD PRO UNITY CHECK

The parameters are very important and you should understand them thoroughly. With that in mind, you have to tell STAAD to check the members using a design code. To do this go to the "Design" tab. On the right of the screen is a button that says "Commands...". Click this. Now choose "CHECK CODE" in the dialog box and assign this to the members you want checked, presumably all of them.

RE: STAAD PRO UNITY CHECK

May be you forget to assign the properties.
Sometimes you assigned but it can be like that.
So select the properties and assign th material agian.
It can be OK.

RE: STAAD PRO UNITY CHECK

If no properties or materials are assigned, STAAD wouldn't even run an analysis.
