When I mirror curves in sketcher and constrain geometry to them. The mirrored curves are not perfectly mirrored. Is there a setting that I need to change? See attached model.

RE: NX 8.5 Sketxher

OK, I know how to avoid the problem but I can't explain why it's happening.

There appears to be a problem when mirroring sketch curves depending on what you use to define the mirror Axis. In your sketch, if you select the 'Y' Datum Axis of the Sketch CSYS as the mirror Axis, you get the incorrect results that you found. However, if you select the 'Y-Z' Datum Plane as the mirror Axis, then the results are what you expect, a 'perfectly' mirrored curve.

I'm going to try to duplicate this behavior in a new part file and if I can I'll open a PR. No matter what I do, I would recommend that you contact GTAC and have them open an IR/PR using this part file just in case it's part specific.

Anyway, for now try to pick the Datum Plane instead of the Axis when mirroring Sketch curves.

RE: NX 8.5 Sketxher

I agree, now that I've look closer at the this part file there's something seriously strange here. And I've NOT been able to duplicate this behavior in a new part file. My advise to the OP is to contact GTAC, send them this part and have development look at it.
