nx9 sketch text letters

(OP)
I am trying to add text curves to a sketch. I seem to remember being able to: insert-curve-text. But after upgrading to nx9 can't figure it out. Any suggestions? Thanks.

RE: nx9 sketch text letters

Exactly what version of NX are you upgrading FROM? I ask this because we've NOT supported creating text as geometry INSIDE the sketcher since before NX 5.0. And while it is true that we DID provide this functionality at one time, it was only implemented as a purely temporary capability in anticipation of the fully-parametric 'Text Curve' feature which I think was added in NX 5.0 (that's the oldest version of NX I currently have running on my system).

Now if you really need to have 'text' as sketch curves, you will need to first create a 'Text' feature and then project those curves into the sketch making sure that you use the 'Feature Curves' option form the list of Curve Rules when selecting them so that if and when you edit the original 'Text' feature, even if you add characters to the text string, they will automatically be added to sketch when you update your model
