Creating attributes with Journal using stock size from PDW

Creating attributes with Journal using stock size from PDW

(OP)
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me create a journal that would create attributes like "thickness", "width", and "length" for components using the stock size from Progressive Die Wizard for each component that would be an attribute in each part of an assembly and also work on while you are in the assembly? Thanks in advance.

cowski,
thank you for the response, the bounding box that this journal creates is not accurate on components with an angle on one side. the "stock size" in progressive die tools toolbar gives the accurate size. is there a way to use that one in this journal and is it possible to do an entire assembly at once?

Maybe.
I'd suggest starting the journal recorder and walking through the steps to get the bounding box from the PDW. Then open the journal to see what it recorded, if anything.
