thread561-340736: Thread Details in Part Family

Hi John...Thanks for the above thread threads are updating with respecting to sizes. Now i am doing AN bolt famil contains AN3, AN4 and AN5. Let me know how can i give if condition in template part for thread so that it will update on child component.
I have attached file for your reference.

RE: Male thread in Part family

Unfortunately, 'male' threads have to be done using brut-force methods, as was done in the attached Family Table master for a 'Round Head Cap Screw' (after opening the template or creating a family member, to see the actual threads, edit the Expression named 'Threads' from '0' to '1').

Thanks John...So I have to keep the values for all threads and hast to be entered in spread sheet to create parts..

I am working in NX-6 intigrated with Teamcenter engineering. Plz clarify below questions

1. What is TC-INSTANTIATE in attribute? and its function.

2. In part family window in first objective is “Exportable part family template” is selection if:
1. Selected ON DB_PART_NO and OS_PART_NAME un-editable values will appear in chossen columns.
2. When Selected OFF DB_PART_NO and OS_PART_NAME un-editable values will go off and Part_Number will appear.
In both cases I am able to create child parts. What is the difference in two options? Let me know which option i have to use.

Thanks

RE: Male thread in Part family

I can't really answer those questions, particularly the ones related to TC issues. Perhaps someone at GTAC could help you with them.
