Requirement of partial sprinkler system

Requirement of partial sprinkler system

Requirement of partial sprinkler system

(OP)
If a building is G+2 floors. If it is considered that only last floor has group B occupancy and remaining floors have other occupancy which requires sprinkler system. Is it now possible that I provide sprinkler system only in Ground and first floor with second floor being unsprinklered?

RE: Requirement of partial sprinkler system

Yes, but it depends on the building code adopted in your jurisdiction and the classification of the all the occupancies in the building.

RE: Requirement of partial sprinkler system

Although as a building owner I would spend the extra bucks to sprinkler all floors, afterall, you would get full insurance credit for a sprinklered building.
