Installing NX 6 in Windows 7

Installing NX 6 in Windows 7

Installing NX 6 in Windows 7

(OP)
Hi Guys,

I am trying to install NX6 into Windows 7. While installation everything goes well with no problem what so ever.

After installation when open NX6, The following application error appear " The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application".

I believe the system is having problem while opening the software.

Please advise if there is anything I can do to fix this problem. I have already re-installed the windows and install all the updated Software's including Direct X, NET Framework etc.

Thank you

regards

Mitchel

RE: Installing NX 6 in Windows 7

I've got NX 6.0 installed and running on Windows 7 Professional and it works just fine.

RE: Installing NX 6 in Windows 7

have a look in your temp folder (normally C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp) and look for a .syslog file.
The file is a NX log. If there aren't any log files then you're best contacting GTAC.
If there is one, look at the latest one and you can get an idea as to why or post the file here if you like.

I'll take a guess and say the 3D Connexions software is the problem. If you do have a SpaceNavigator installed or some other 3D Connexions device, try uninstalling the driver and see if that works.
If that does work, use a custom reinstall of the driver and install only the driver, DO NOT INSTALL the NX plugin.

Do you have the license server running and connected to the machine you are trying to install NX6 on?

Is there any mention in the Syslog about a "side by side configuration" ?

NX 9.0.1.3

Sorry Guys didn't reply earlier. I was away.

I have contacted GTAC and find out that the file was encrypted therefore I had to re-download and run the set up again.

Thank you for your time and input guys.

Cheers
