Hi,
I'm trying to create a titleblock in Nx 8.5, want to add the SHEET_PROJECTION_ANGLE symbol to a cell of the table, what is thr trick only ### are displayed

sorry new in NX
regards
Erwin

RE: symbol into titleblock- table

I assume that you're attempting to add the 'symbol' itself. Try using the 'Automatic Text' mechanism instead. Create your table and in the desired cell, insert the following text string:

<W@$SH_SHEET_PROJECTION_ANGLE>

Note that the proper symbol will automatically be displayed based on whether the Drawing sheet was defined to use First- or Third-Angle projection rules when creating the Drawing views.

thank you John on reply,
this <W@$SH_SHEET_PROJECTION_ANGLE> doesn't work for me in a cell of a table,
I think there must be some special formating on the table cell, that I haven't found, yet.
May a scaling issue, but how to scale ?

Erwin

RE: symbol into titleblock- table

Select the Tabular Note object, press MB3, select 'Cell Style...', select the tab labeled 'Fit Methods' and make sure that the 'Auto Size Row' option is toggled ON.

thank you on reply, John,
yes that works... but the cell size increases to unwanted size, how to scale down?
Btw, can I use an attribute to connect to the company logo?

RE: symbol into titleblock- table

You can't. If you use that approach it's being created based on the standard size that it's supposed to applied on the face of a drawing. The alternative would be to create 'custom symbol' in the desired size and then just superimpose it over the 'cell'. This is how you would also do you company logo, either create a custom symbol, if it's just line artwork, or use an image file if it's a 'graphical' image. Now I know of some companies who have paid a 'foundry' to create a special TrueType/OpenType 'font' with their corporate logos and trademarks as 'characters' and then starting with NX 8.0 you could simply use this special font when adding a 'logo' to your drawing as a simple note In my demo files I've just placed an image file (JPEG image) inside a space in the title block on my Drawing template files, as seen here:
