MATERIALS AND SIZE OF WASHER ON ANCHOR ROD

MATERIALS AND SIZE OF WASHER ON ANCHOR ROD

MATERIALS AND SIZE OF WASHER ON ANCHOR ROD

(OP)
WHAT SIZE AND MATERIAL OF WASHER CAN BE USED ON THE ANCHOR ROD IF NOT SPECIFIED ON THE STRUCTURAL AND ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS?

RE: MATERIALS AND SIZE OF WASHER ON ANCHOR ROD

If it is not in the specs, I would submit an RFI to find out what the Engineer of Record requires.

P.s. If you are the EOR, then you are on the cusp of a transformative experience and will soon know the joy of studying the AISC manual and ASTMs to select what you need for the project. :)

RE: MATERIALS AND SIZE OF WASHER ON ANCHOR ROD

Make sure this gets done right. If this is an anchor embedded in concrete for uplift and it is not done right, you could have a failure of a critical connection. Same thing goes with hold down washers/plates for wood sill plates.

RE: MATERIALS AND SIZE OF WASHER ON ANCHOR ROD

What is the application?
