"View From"

"View From"

(OP)
Hello !

under Nx 7.5 or 8.5 (we are using both), is there a way to create "View from" ?

You know, when you have a funny projected angled view and you want to place it on another sheet ? Other CAD usually provides an arrow and the projected view has a label underneath indicating VIEW FROM A.

I am actually using section view that are not sectionning the model, but it is getting confusing as they are similar to Section views (of course!).

A solution would be to display the section line as a single arrow, but i was not able to do so.

Any suggestion ?

Regards,

Louis

RE: "View From"

Adding a 'View Direction Arrow' to a projected view has been added as a Drafting enhancement in NX 9.0, as shown below from the entry in the 'What's New Guide':

RE: "View From"

Nothing wrong with using section lines to define view projections... it is the standard method per ASME Y14.3-2003, with the single arrow method being an alternative practice.
