Hi,
anyone has a design method for a direct contact condenser in pressure, with mixed phase to be condensed with liquid stream of the same fluid.

Hey gelsi,

A pump around system is a pretty simple process design. The heat duty (condensation rate) will set the pump around flow for a design delta-T on the liquid. Then it is mostly an exchanger design problem. A process simulator can do this calculation in a few minutes. On the contacting side you can get some advice from a tower vendor on the best spray system to use based on your calculated flows.
