Thanks a lot!!

RE: Range qualified with impact test required? Asme b31.3 please my test is next week

If the code of construction is ASME B31.3, impact qualification and thickness ranges are followed over Section IX.

This is the third place you have submitted the same (misspelled and ungrammatical) request. Do not duplicate threads in different forums.

RE: Range qualified with impact test required? Asme b31.3 please my test is next week

If you originally qualified your WPS to Section IX, QW-403.6, you qualify to the minimum coupon thickness only as indicated below in QW-403.6

The minimum base metal thickness qualified is the thickness of the test coupon T or 5/8 in.
(16 mm), whichever is less. However, where T is less than 1/4 in. (6 mm), the minimum thickness qualified is 1/2T.

The maximum thickness is based on the weld deposit thickness range qualified for the WPS.

If B31.3 code is invoked, Table 323.3.1 A-5 is followed specifically for impact testing of welds, thickness range and number of impact tests.

"A" asks min thickness qualified
"C" asks range qualified

Asme B31.3
With impact test

Per B31.3, your PQR on 10 mm pipe, qualifies the thickness range from 5 mm to 16mm for the pipe subject to impact testing.
