Print Results and Export Results are not same(NX7.5.3)?

Print Results and Export Results are not same(NX7.5.3)?

(OP)
Hi,

Generally Drafting outputs are same either we print out to pdf or we export to pdf. But the problem I am facing is that there is lot of difference between the two of them either because of system settings or because of printer settings.
Images showing differences are attached as well.
Is there any way to match those outputs? I have checked with Resolutions and line widths but results didn`t changed at all.
I have tested Export TIFF as well. The results of Export TIFF were same like the print pdf. But the CGM created was always good.

Regards,
Ishant

RE: Print Results and Export Results are not same(NX7.5.3)?

Historically the Print option is a screendump and not a vector file. A side effect of this is that print never ( ?) has been able to do a perfect 1:1 size match. (print a 100 mm line in scale 1:1 and compare the printed length with an accurate ruler. Try the same using the plot option and you will not see any fault.)
plotting on the other hand is a vector export and therefore scalable.

Tiff, PNG etc are screendumps / Raster data.

The Pdf export is vector data. ( It is probably based on a internal CGM export.) CGM again is Vector.

Tomas
