Does anyone see any harm being done having PWHT performed on 6" sch 80 2.25cr (.432 thk P5a) piping even though it is not required by code?

Shop environment.

^ No extra expense (on our part anyways). Subcontractor made an in-house error.

One assumes the contractor has a WPS qualified with PWHT on P-5A material.
