Deluge Valve Assembly location

(OP)
Hello Everybody,

I'm working on a tank-farm fire water system. I like to know where to locate the automatic deluge valve.

Is there any code or standard that specify appropriate location for a deluge valve assembly systems?

Can I locate about 14 numbers of deluge valve systems in one location.

Thanks for your upcoming response.

RE: Deluge Valve Assembly location

If you're working on fire water and similar systems, you need to become very familiar with the NFPA suite of documents. These have requirements and standards and whoever reviews or certifies your design will either use them as a basis for review or require them to be used for the design. If you don't use NFPA as at the minimum requirements, you risk having to re-design your entire system when it hits this stage.

RE: Deluge Valve Assembly location

We usually put our deluge valves in a "dog house", especially if the record low temperature for the area is < 0oC.

Good luck,

Technically, the glass is always full - 1/2 air and 1/2 water.
