Cross-section creation aborted

Cross-section creation aborted

Cross-section creation aborted

(OP)
I am trying to make a section view of an assembly. I have 2 sections views which were created in the model. Section A is going thru a certain feature and Section B is going thru the Right Datum plane which is the center of the assembly. I go to the drawing and try entering in Section A and it just looks like a standard side view and I get a message saying:

Cross-section creation in view "right_12", on sheet 1, aborted.

What am I doing wrong?

RE: Cross-section creation aborted

Sounds like the section plane is coincident to tangent to a model surface. Pro/E frequently has trouble creating drawing sections in these cases. Try moving the section forward or backward slightly (make an new plane offset from the original so you can vary it).

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows.

dgallup - I tried that and it worked! I offset my section plane by 0.1mm and it worked fine. Thanks for your help!
