Rapid Dimensional Analysis

Rapid Dimensional Analysis

Rapid Dimensional Analysis

(OP)
Hello,

I am looking for a product that can rapidly assess the dimensions of very basic shapes. The most complex will be tensile specimens...

Unfortunately there seems to be nothing that can quickly asses the width, height, length.

Does anyone know of a product?

I have looked at handheld 3D scanning machines but you need to have position reflective dots which would take too long.

Essentially just a plob scan and recover dimensions product... I know of ATOS blue light scanning but seems too pricey and an overly qualified products for such a task.

I am trying to avoid spending days of technician hours using calipers...

Thanks in advance!

From,

RE: Rapid Dimensional Analysis

We have a MicroVu measuring system that lets you put multiple parts on a surface and it will measure the parts. If the parts are consistently orientated in some kind of fixture it is a lot faster than if the parts are just randomly oriented and it has to spend a lot of time figuring out the orientation before starting the measurement routine. Works well if the parts are pretty consistent but things like burrs and chamfers can affect the result.
