NX Balloon Issue

NX Balloon Issue

NX Balloon Issue

(OP)
Hello everyone,
I have a Balloon issue in NX drafting.
I have created one balloon with ID and attached with leader line with one of the component.
When I close and reopen the drawing, the ID will be replaced by "----". I am not sure why it is happending.
If I tried to change agian, same problem persists again and again.
Anybody can help me. Thanks.

RE: NX Balloon Issue

What version of NX?
What text are you adding to the balloon?
Have you also added a 'parts list' to this drawing?

RE: NX Balloon Issue

so is the entire ID replaced with those dashes, or only what is inside the balloon ?

RE: NX Balloon Issue

I am using NX6.
The text inside balloon is number.
Yes I added parts list also but am not using auto balloon option.

Yes entire ID is replaced with dashes, inside balloon is number.

Thanks for your replies

RE: NX Balloon Issue

I'm not sure about NX6, but in 7.5 and later, if you place an ID symbol that uses the same shape as the parts list, it is controlled by the parts list. Try placing a symbol of a different type and see if you have the same problem.
