Doubt - Which material to use for our sensor?
Doubt - Which material to use for our sensor?
(OP)
Hi, we have developed an optical sensor with two applications at this moment: first, we will put them inside of hockey sticks, so the sensor is capable of sensing movement, acceleration, orientation, force, etc. These accessories will tell their users how to improve their performance; second, we will put them on the back of people who have back problems, so the sensor can register their movements for some days or weeks.
The sensor needs to bend and stretch (about 0mm to 2mm). Also, inside of this sensor there will be a PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate) fiber, which needs to slide (we want to avoid friction between the sensor and the fiber as much as possible). So, we need a material that bends, stretches and is not sticky for the PMMA fiber. Which material can we use?
I can send you more information if you want.
Thank you very much.
