Weighing issues on Power&Free conveyor

Weighing issues on Power&Free conveyor

Weighing issues on Power&Free conveyor

(OP)
Hi There,
I am working on a project where i need to install a weighing system in a power&free conveyor. in the original design the part in which load cell(s) mounted (the stucture including piece of conveyor where the load hangs) was mounted on the beam on top of the conveyor. A re-design was carried out and according to the new design the load cell "brdige" between weighing part of conveyor and non weighing part. which means one side of the load cell is fixed to the non weighing part and the other side of the load cell to the weighing part. we find the weight deviates from the standard weight after calibration. while calibration we find the display matches the actual weight but once production starts the weight deviates. any reason why this deviation occures.
Thanks

RE: Weighing issues on Power&Free conveyor

Is the load cell now subjected to some load for which it was not designed?

Was the load cell over-ranged, even once, ever?

Why was the design changed?

How did any of this come to be your problem?

RE: Weighing issues on Power&Free conveyor

If you cant have the full wait of the conveyor on the load cell then you cant get a correct reading. If the weight deviates during production, then their is unstable structure causing vibration, this would give you this deviation. What you need to do is have the structure that the conveyor is on to go to the floor where it is stable. Put your load cells on this structure with the conveyor resting on the load cells.
