0% and 2% NaCl wellbore fluid
0% and 2% NaCl wellbore fluid
(OP)
I am curious what a 0% NaCL fluid is. Is that just distilled water?
We make a polymer that absorbs freewater from typical wellbore water based and oil based muds. The more freewater (less salt), the faster the polymer swells and isolates producing zones downhole.
2-10% NaCL is common with the lower sodium content having the faster swell time.
Any comments on 0% NaCl?

0% NaCL fluid is more of a theoretical concept. See the attachment. It is not uncommon for fresh water to have a 0.01% NaCL concentration.
