Section views in mechanical sequence NX6
Section views in mechanical sequence NX6
(OP)
I am creating a mechanical sequence for a product that i am working on at the moment.
Although the sequence itself seems to be fine, I am experiencing a problem with the 'clip work section' feature.
At the moment I can simply select the feature and the model will be 'section' or 'non-sectioned'.
However, by choosing either option, the sequence remains either 'sectioned' or 'non-sectioned' for the entire sequence.
So, the question that I have is as follows;
Is it possible to have the assembly 'sectioned' and then 'non-sectioned' at various points in the sequence?
At some points I require to show the internal details of the assembly (highlighting face to face contacts etc) but for other views It would be more benefitial to see the assembly as a whole (for instance, a component rotating 360 deg following a particular hole feature).
Thanks in advance

Do you have any other suggestions as to how i could achieve this?

I am looking to have the assembly sectioned part way through the sequence.

I may have to approach this from a differnet angle.
Is it possible to make a component transparent over a period of time?
Thw problem I have is that we have a spring housing that encaptulates all of the other components within the assembly.
This is the reason why I would like to have the assembly sectioned (at some points in the sequence). When i want to highlight a particular face to face mating condition I would like the assembly sectioned. When I am looking at the assembly from the front or the back I would like it whole.
This may be helped if I could assemble the spring housing (0% transparency) and then reduce to around 80% over a period of, say, 10 frames.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
I might be getting confused with animations created in Solidworks and Inventor!
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately there is no-one available to me that can do what I am looking to do here.
I'll sort something out!
Thanks
