NX 7.5 interface

NX 7.5 interface

NX 7.5 interface

In simulation info window moved leftward each time comes on the screen. Now is gone and i cannot see anymore.
How to fix this? and get back my info window.

comman icons sets (e.g. for scetch) i have moved away from top and is separate on my screen. But they all are not stable as I put them to be like a line horizontal on my screen, and all getting more and more vertical shape.
How i can fix shape of the command bars with icons?

Thanks a lot

RE: NX 7.5 interface

To address your 'lost window' issue, try going to...

Preferences -> User Interface -> Layout

...and select the 'Reset Windows Postion' icon about 2/3 of the way down the dialog.

As for changing a detached (i.e. free-floating) toolbar from vertical to horizontal or vice versa, simply place your cursor over the edge of the toolbar frame until you see either a small vertical or horizontal double-ended arrow and then push and hold MB1 and drag the toolbar's edge until it changes to the shape that you want. Once you get everything where you want them to be and oriented properly, you can save a user Defined Role that will remember these locations and orientations and which you can restore at any time by simply selecting that Role.

Thanks, i got my info screen.

It is not that whole toolsbar turns from horiz to vert.
I put all (say 8 of them) icons in horizontal line on one toolbar. Later on one icon (the last one) moves down and i get height of the toolbat higher (taking space from the screen). Later on and second icon mover down so i get 6 icons at top row and 2 at botton row, AND SO ON.

There is no save role when i MB3 on the bar (long list, but no save the role. How i can save it?

Thnks a lot

RE: NX 7.5 interface

You create and save your roles in the Roles 'tab' on your Resource Bar.

If you've never created a Role before simply get your toolbars and icons set-up the way that you like them, then open the 'Roles' tab (the one with the two little 'people' on them) and select the section labeled 'User' and when it expands, place your cursor over some 'white space' and press MB3 and select 'New User Role'. A dialog will come up where you can enter a user define name for your Role and you'll be asked for an optional image/picture file that will be used as the 'thumbnail' for the Role when viewed on the palette (tab). Once you've created a Role, anytime you select it, if any changes have been made to the number of toolbars or icons or where they're placed, the system will return the User Interface back to whatever it was when you last saved/updated your Role. And if you do make changes in the future that you would like to be part of an existing Role, just open the tab and using MB3 select the Role that you wish to update and select the 'Save Role' option. If you wish to change the name of the Role or add/replace the thumbnail file, select the 'Edit' option.

Note that these Role files will automatically be saved at...

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Unigraphics Solutions\<NX Version>\roles

Note that starting with NX 9.0 this location has been changed to...

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Siemens\<NX Version>\roles
