controller and wiring for home irrigation system

(OP)
Hi!

1. i have two red hot wires, and one white common wire which are to be connected to the controller.i wanted to check if they have voltage used multimeter to measure between 1 hot and common no voltage, second hot and common no voltage things were quite all right before all i did was to change the two solenoid-operated inline valves. just adjacent to the controller is the main wall outlet 110 volts ac this is reading fine

2. i also cannot read the approx. 25 v dc at the other terminals which come from the transformer here there is a red blue and green

3. one answer could be that transformer is faulty it could be so but again it was ok before i was doing the digging work. what about the 110 v ac not recording?

4. the battery is ok, the fuse is ok

5. does this have something to do with the manual button has not been pushed, although the controller is on auto, or timer is wrong (where is the timer), the solenoids are not actuated (clearly you are noting that I am not electrically qualified)

Could you help?

Thank you

RE: controller and wiring for home irrigation system

The output voltage is typically 24 V AC, not dc.

Try adding some punctuation to your posts if you want actual help. We're pretty old school around here.

RE: controller and wiring for home irrigation system

Might be worthwhile engaging someone who is electrically qualified.

RE: controller and wiring for home irrigation system

Check that your multimeter is set for AC. DC irrigation is pretty rare.

Best to you,

Goober Dave
