Lightning Strike Counter

Lightning Strike Counter

Lightning Strike Counter

(OP)
My understanding is that Lightning strike counter can be installed on any one of the down conductor. Additional Lightning strike counter on another down conductor can be installed for reliability purpose only. Please let me know if my understanding is correct and do International Standards provide any recommendations in this regard.

RE: Lightning Strike Counter

(OP)
I will try to re-phrase my query.
Does it make sense to install Lightning strike counter in any one down conductor or it needs to be installed in all down conductors.
Further, does IEC or other International standards provide any guidelines / recommendation / criteria in this regard.
Although cost of Lightning counter could be very less but the objective is to understand the criteria to decide on the number of counters to be installed as per International practice.
