I have a question related to Section IX.

If a WPS is qualified in 1G position (Process SMAW ) , No impact test requirement.

A WPQ can be done in 3G position or other position like 2G, 2F on the basis of this qualified WPS? or it is required to carry out PQR in these positions before WPQ.

RE: Qualification of Fillet weld as per Section IX

The WPS mentioned above can be used for all positions because for SMAW change in position is not an essential variable (no impact). So, you can use this WPS to generate welder performance qualification for various positions.
