Dear Friends,

I do a model for an inclined steel frame, but the deflection limits were not checked, although I requested program to consider deflection from the steel design preferences, is there any way to automatically check deflection limits for an inclined beam?

Appreciate any illustration.

RE: Sap2000 - Inclined Beam

Thaereid, if you select your inclined steel beam, you should be able to use Design menu> Steel Frame> View/revise overwrites to specify deflection limits. If the program doesn't perform those checks during design, send your model to CSI's tech support and ask them to see what's going on.
