Problem with cylinder drop test attempt

Problem with cylinder drop test attempt

Problem with cylinder drop test attempt

(OP)
I am using the student version of Abaqus CAE in order to model a few basic
tests such as pressure, drop and temperature tests on a hollow extruded
cylinder representing a nuclear flask container for my design study. These
tests are meant to comply with IAEA standards.

The particular test I'm having trouble with is the drop test, namely a 1 m
free-fall drop onto a rigid surface. I have set up the boundary and initial
conditions, but when I try to run the test, I am faced with the message:
"Error in job droptest1: A BOUNDARY CONDITION HAS BEEN SPECIFIED ON NODE
SET ASSEMBLY_SET-3 BUT THIS NODE SET IS NOT ACTIVE IN THE MODEL. Error in
job droptest1: NODE SET ASSEMBLY_SET-3 HAS NOT BEEN DEFINED."

I took a look at the Sets tab and Set-3 corresponded with a reference point
with the Encastre boundary condition, RP-1 on the rim of the cylinder. The
cylinder itself is in an initial position at an angle to the plane, and the
only point of contact between them is at RP-1. Attempting to reselect RP-1
did not yield anything. How should I proceed?
