Static Views in Drafting tool for NX 8.5.

Static Views in Drafting tool for NX 8.5.

(OP)
I am working on a drawing and the model is constantly updated, but everytime there is a change to the model, it "automatically updates" my views but really just screws up dimensions or addes lines and such to the view. I'd like for there to be a way I can create regular views that contain linework which we can edit. Basically I'd like to make views the way I am used to with older software such as Catia, Autocad, etc. where it takes a snapshot and no need for updating even when a little screw moves. I guess the term would be I want Static views, not a live model view. I understand the intent is that views should be automatically updated whenever there is a change, but in my situation having to go back updating constantly is wayy too much work, especially for changes that don't technically affect certain views.

RE: Static Views in Drafting tool for NX 8.5.

Hi chenders,
You can create a non-associative snapshot here in NX also. Right click the view go to style / general tab ..in the view configuration choose Extarced Edges and snapshot.
Best Regards

I should mention that I am on NX7.5, but I assume it is the same in NX8.5 .
