Catia vector graphics capture

Catia vector graphics capture

Catia vector graphics capture

(OP)
Hi there!

I need a vector graphics capture from catia. This is new for me; I always make png, but a colleague asked me for svg or pdf with vectors

After some trials the results are not good, because:

- The colours are not full, solid.

- The size of the pictures is huge, the problem is catia is capturing the whole geometry, all the parts. I just need the front, a plain simple picture of what one can see. Not the geometry behind.

Attached an example

Does anyone know how to make a proper vector picture with catia?

thanks
regards,

RE: Catia vector graphics capture

1. use the TOOLS + IMAGE + CAPTURE tool
2. in the Capture window, choose VECTOR MODE (last icon on right)
3. choose OPTIONS (3rd icon), and VECTOR, and change properties to SVG or PDF
4. complete the image capture steps to create and save the image.

RE: Catia vector graphics capture

Under Tools>Image>Capture, there is a SVG option.

Thanks for the fast responses.

This is what I did, I played with the options and I can't get it solid and plain (no background, parts behind).

I always do captures with tools-image-capture, but in PNG; the problem is with the SVG.

Have a look the the following picture:

This are prisms (rectangular), one can see the edges of the prisms behind and the non full colours in the faces (just these glue lines)

Here is the PNG version (similar caption); this is what I need (but in SVG)
