NX9 Save Favorite Dialog

Hello,

I've just been having a look at save favorite in new NX9 dialogs.

Looks quite useful being able to create your own favorite versions of a dialog however, now that I've created some I can't see how I can get rid of them? Changing role doesn't help, they're still there.

Does anyone know how to get rid of these user created favorite dialogs?

RE: NX9 Save Favorite Dialog

Hi carlharr,

In 8.5 User created Favorites are stored in the NX user profile which is usually in C:\Users\<user_id>\AppData\Local\Unigraphics Solutions\NX85 in a directory called "Favorites". You can deleted any User favourites from this directory. I haven't tried it on NX9 yet, but imagine its the same.

Hi plmtech, thank you for the information.

Following your guide I've found them in C:\Users\<user_id>\AppData\Local\Siemens\NX90\Favorites

So these seem like a good idea, but a bit "flaky". Created a Simple Extrude, but then the name of Extrude wouldn't change when I went back to the normal version.

Also it was called Simple Extrude even after I deleted the .fav file.

In the end, also had to delete the memory file.

That said, these could be useful in future if they're a bit more robust, and a lot easier to get rid of.
