Ref books for nonlinear structural analysis?

Ref books for nonlinear structural analysis?

Ref books for nonlinear structural analysis?

(OP)
I am interested in nonlinear analysis in a few areas (e.g. geometric nonlinearity, say large deflection, post-buckling and plasticity). I am not going write any computer codes/programs doing these kinds of analysis but just want to have some basic concepts about those topics (e.g. how a stiffness matrix is updated, logic of finding solution...)

Does anybody recommend a book or books (covering shells in addition to beams) for me?

RE: Ref books for nonlinear structural analysis?

I came across a bunch of aerospace course pages a few weeks ago trying to find a resource on plain strain. I do not know the quality of this resource, but here is a link to a nonlinear FEM course with an Ebook (I believe the ebook is written by the aerospace faculty at University of Colorado Boulder, but I am not certain):

RE: Ref books for nonlinear structural analysis?

Analysis of geometrically non-linear structuresw by Levy is good. And so is Non-Linear Structures: matrix methods of analysis and design by computers by K Majid. The latter is old and so may not be as readily available.
