Does Teamcenter require formal training?

RE: Teamcenter Training

I was involved a few years back helping with a transition from native to TC. Management wanted TC, but didn't want to pay for training. There was one guy working on site to set up the database and other related options. We asked him dozens of questions while he was there then experimented a bit and wrote up some "how to" references for all the users. We muddled our way through, but I believe it would have been much better with some formal training for all involved.
