Need info on tolerances for specimen for concrete cubes as per BS EN 12390-1 2012

(OP)
Dear All,

i need to know what is the allowable tolerance limits for specimen dimensions for concrete cubes sampled at project site.
as i dont have a copy of above code and the Contractor is claiming that 10% tolerance is allowed as per above code.
can any body confirm or advise if that is o.k.
our test specimen showed sizes of L-156mmxW-150mmxH-150mm with 150 nominal size of concrete cubes and moulds.
any leads to previous threads will be appreciated.

regards,

RE: Need info on tolerances for specimen for concrete cubes as per BS EN 12390-1 2012

Clause 3.2.3.1: Between moulded surfaces, the tolerance to the designated side shall be less than plus/minus 0.5%
Clause 3.2.3.2: Between troweled surface and moulded bottom surface, shall be less than plus/minus 1%
Clause 3.2.3.3: Flatness of moulded side that will be load bearing shall be less than 0.0006d
Clause 3.2.3.4: Perpendicularity of moulded vertical side shall be less than 0.5 mm

I went through this as I have some concrete unit weights that appear low - but for each 1 mm out of height tolerance, it makes approximately 15 kg/m3.
